International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the world’s leading organization that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. The IEC is recognized by the World Trade Organization (WTO). IEC monitors the national and regional organizations that have agreed to use the IEC’s international standards as the basis for national or regional standards as part of the WTO Technical Barriers to Trade Agreement.
