This year was full of opportunity and growth, from conferences to innovations to growth within our company. As 2025 quickly approaches, we’re thankful for where we are and excited about the future.

Celebrating Two Years of the ATP Patent
On July 26, 2024, AES celebrated its second anniversary of the ATPPRIME patent. Filed in 2019 and accepted in 2022, ATPPRIME sets the standard for battery testing fixtures, allowing users to charge and discharge cells in controlled environments for research, development, and production. As cell types evolve, the ATPPRIME enables users to maneuver between changing cells and cell types quickly.
Today, the ATP series comprises the patented ATPPRIME, ATPFLEX (battery testing fixtures that can be added to existing chambers), and the patent-pending ATPHEAVY (battery testing fixtures for large format cells, capable of testing up to 1200 amps per channel). ATPHEAVY ADAPTABLE, allows for high-current testing without any modifications to the cell. As new battery chemistries are developed, the ATP ADAPTABLE can evolve with companies as their battery form factors and types progress.
AES Spotlights Innovations at 2024 Battery Conferences
AES attended three conferences this year: the International Battery Seminar, the Battery Show, and the AABC. At all three meetings, our team had the fantastic opportunity to showcase our innovative products nationwide in front of industry leaders and test chamber manufacturers. Attendees who stopped by our booth could view and interact with various products, including the SC-514-4-SAFE benchtop battery test chamber equipped with safety features, ATPHEAVY ADAPTABLE, and more! From EV to consumer electronics to packaging industries and more, attendees learned first-hand how valuable our products are for all testing needs and requirements.

AES Expansions in the Testing Chamber Industry
AES is excited to continue on the path of growth. We grew our service team this past year and look forward to continuing to develop our team of talented members. Additionally, we look forward to expanding our showroom locations. Currently, we have our showroom on the West Coast and look forward to building our showroom on the East Coast at our headquarters in Acton, MA.
We also look forward to returning to our favorite trade shows next year and possibly expanding to new trade shows! Keep tabs on AES events and where we will be attending next.
Keeping a Pulse on the Test Chamber Industry
As technology continues to grow, AES will monitor changes and trends. Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) are beginning to influence the environmental testing chamber industry and have been adopted in labs with various types of chambers. Our team will look for ways to leverage ML and AI to improve efficiency and accuracy as research and applications advance.
Environmental Testing Market
The environmental testing market is also expected to focus on sustainable practices. Around the world, companies strive for a 20% reduction in energy consumption to combat waste and pollution and protect the climate and growing populations. While environmental testing aims to collect information and ultimately bring a product to market, labs should use sustainable practices that keep our climate safe.
